Scotland is braced for the arrival of the nuclear Lukes as the 2025 BetMGM Premier League rockets into Glasgow.
The eight superstars of the PDC are underway in their 16-week battle for spots on Finals Night at London’s O2 in May. Luke Littler heads the charge as the World Champion looking to defend the title he won in stunning fashion on debut last year when hitting a nine-darter in the Final against Luke Humphries, who won the opening night of the 2025 campaign in Belfast last week to put down his marker.
The World No.1 and seven-times Premier League king Michael van Gerwen head the hunting pack looking to defuse The Nuke. Rob Cross, Stephen Bunting, Gerwyn Price, Nathan Aspinall and Chris Dobey make up the field as the elite put on spectacular shows over four months across the country.
Here Record Sport takes you through the schedule and matches for the big night in Scotland.
Quarter Finals
Rob Cross v Luke Littler – 7.15pm
Massive game to start the evening as Voltage brings some electric form into the contest. Cross made the semi-finals in Belfast and that backed-up a success in the World Series event in Holland. The Londoner built again to win the first ProTour of the term in Wigan on Monday. Littler has been on the wrong end of defeats since his Ally Pally triumph. He lost to Michael van Gerwen in Belfast and has yet to reach a Final in any of the five TV and floor event since the Worlds. However, he has not played badly and is ready to rocket back to success.
Best odds: Cross 13/5, Littler 3/10.
Michael van Gerwen v Stephen Bunting – 7.45pm
The Green Machine was in strong early form in Belfast with a victory over Littler kicking off his campaign in the perfect fashion. It was only mistakes that cost him success over subsequent winner Humphries in the semis and he is keen for a big 2025. Bunting is back in the Premier League for the first time in a decade with his stock rising and his world ranking up to No.5. The Bullet maintained his good work with a World Series win in Bahrain and he was runner-up in Des Bosch. Belfast didn’t go to plan with a first-game loss to Cross and he’s out to make amends.
Best odds: Van Gerwen 8/11, Bunting 11/10.
Nathan Aspinall v Gerwyn Price – 8.15pm
Aspinall insists he does not have a point to prove in the Premier League after some irritated rivals called out his selection. The Stockport star has fought back from injury issues and has played some decent stuff without success in recent weeks. He lost to Humphries in week one and Price was also an opening game loser to Chris Dobey. However, the Iceman took his revenge on Hollywood in Wigan on Tuesday by winning the second ProTour of the season and his confidence is rising. The Welshman has a smile on his face again and he’s dangerous.
Best odds: Price 8/13, Aspinall 13/10.
Luke Humphries v Chris Dobey – 8.45pm
A repeat of last week’s Final in Belfast. Humphries is the smooth operator who has the tag of World No.1. Deservedly so. He may have lost his World title to Littler, but his recent Masters triumph was a seventh major success in just 15 months and he backed that up with a win in PL week one in Belfast before a run to Monday’s ProTour semis in Wigan. Dobey made a good start to his campaign with that Final outing in Northern Ireland and kept up the good work with a place in the Wigan Final on Tuesday against Price. The Geordie is catching fire at the right time for the Premier League.
Best odds: Humphries 1/3, Dobey 5/2.
