WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Cobra Kai.
Cobra Kai is over with Netflix dropping the final five episodes of season six with some major twists.
Since leaving YouTube Premium behind, the Karate Kid spin-off has been one of the most watched dramas on Netflix so it was bittersweet when the streamer announced season six would be its final outing.
Thankfully, the show’s ending has been spread out with Netflix releasing five episodes every few months with part three released on Thursday, February 13.
Last time fans saw Cobra Kai, it ended with the shocking death of Kwon Jae-Sung (played by Brandon H Lee) who was fatally stabbed during the Sekai Taikai tournament.
But it turns out he wouldn’t be the only casualty of season six with more deaths to come in Cobra Kai season six, part three.
Cobra Kai season 6 part 3 ending explained
Master Kim Sun-Yung
In season six, episode 11, John Kreese (played by Martin Kove) is riddled with guilt after Kwon’s death since he was stabbed with the blade that he brought to the tournament.
And after Master Kim Sun-Yung (CS Lee) tries to teach their dojo students a horrifically painful move, he decides to leave Cobra Kai behind for good.

Kim Sun-Yung then instructs his granddaughter Kim Da-Eun (Alicia Hannah-Kim) to finally prove herself to him by killing Kreese so she can show that she is worth taking over his dojo when he dies.
For a short time, it looks as if she is going to poison him but in a twist, Kim Da-Eun sneaks into her grandfather’s room at night with the idea of murdering him.
Unfortunately for her, he wakes up and a fight breaks out between the pair but she then uses his own deadly move against him and kills her grandfather.
Johnny and Carmen
After initially fearing for Carmen’s (Vaness Rubio) life in season six, part two, she is gearing up to welcome her and Johnny’s (William Zabka) daughter into the world.
He plans to propose but just as he thinks she’s about to walk in the door, Johnny finds out that she has gone into labour and dashes to the hospital.
But it is when in the hospital bed that he proposes and then welcomes in their friends and family, a classic trio and a priest so they can get married then and there.
Carmen then has the baby and introduces her as Laura, naming her after Johnny’s mum.
Robby’s injury
Following some pushing from Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) who is eager for the tournament to continue as he shares that he is terminally ill, all of the senseis agree they want the event to go ahead.

Sadly, it doesn’t exactly go quite as planned as when it’s Robby Keene’s (Tanner Buchanan) turn to fight Axel Kovacevic (Patrick Luwis), he ends up breaking his leg after encouragement from the villainous Sensei Wolf (Lewis Tan).
Samantha steps down
Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser) was all set to fight against her friend Tori Nichols (Peyton List) who wanted to step away from the competition before changing her mind.
The idea of facing Tori though who lost her mum earlier in the series got too much for Samantha and she chose not to compete.
Her decision along with Robby’s injury meant that Miyagi-Do was sadly out of the tournament.
Kreese’s redemption
Kreese was at a loss after Kwon’s death and saw that he needed to do some good in a bid to make up for everything that he had done.
Firstly, he visited Tori and encouraged her to take part in the tournament, before then having an emotional heart-to-heart with his former student Johnny and apologising for how he treated him.
When Kreese asked if there was any way he could make it up to him, Johnny had an idea.
It was revealed that Johnny would take over as the sensei for Cobra Kai with Tori and Miguel Diaz (Xolo Mariduena) as his only two students ready to compete in the final.

Kreese and Silver’s demise
In episode 14, Silver was plotting to have Carmen kidnapped in order to blackmail Johnny into losing the Sekai Tekai tournament.
Knowing he was up to no good, Kreese snuck on board his boat to confront him which inevitably led to a fight which saw a can of petrol spill onto the deck.
Silver was able to pin Kreese to the floor and seeing his final hope of stopping him, Kreese was able to grab his lit cigar and throw it into the petrol, dramatically blowing up the boat and killing both of them.
Victory
Both Tori and Miguel were victorious in beating their opponents Zara Malik (Rayna Vallandingham) and Alex respectively.
But as Cobra Kai and Iron Dragons had tied in points, the ultimate winner was going to be decided through a fight between the senseis, Johnny and Sensei Wolf.

At first, Johnny struggled to get the upper hand with his previous losses still at the forefront of his mind and Sensei Wolf fighting strong.
It is Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) who ends up giving his friend some tough love, pushing him to attack rather than take on the Miyagi-Do defence tactics.
When Johnny returns to the mat, he is able to take down Sensei Wolf and Cobra Kai is announced as the winner of the Sekai Taikai tournament.
Separate ways
At the end of the final ever episode of Cobra Kai, it is revealed what everyone does next.
Samantha is off to study in Japan with Miguel accompanying her to help her settle in before they embark on a long distance relationship as he goes to Stanford University.
Tori and Robbie are asked to be represented as professional fighters, travelling to tournaments, putting on demonstrations and promoting their work on social media.
Meanwhile, Demetri (Gianna DeCenzo) and Eli (Jacob Bertrand) are off to attend Caltech (California Institute of Technology) together, and Kim Da-Eun is running her own dojo with Chozen (Yuji Okumoto) arriving with a bag, hinting at their romance.
Johnny continues to run the Cobra Kai dojo but this time around, he’ll be doing it in conjunction with Daniel who teaches the defence tactics of Miyagi-Do.
Cobra Kai is available to watch on Netflix.
