Hamilton Park has announced that the multi award-winning Scottish band Skerryvore will perform at the South Lanarkshire resort at the G4 Claims Glasgow Stakes Racenight in July.
Renowned for their electrifying performances and unique mix of bagpipes, fiddles, accordions, and whistles, alongside guitar and vocals, underpinned by driving bass, drums and keys, Skerryvore represent the very best in contemporary Scottish traditional music.
Alongside the live music, the Friday evening meeting is one of the most valuable racing fixtures of Hamilton Park’s season, and showcases some of the best flat racing anywhere in Scotland.
The G4 Claims Scottish Stewards’ Cup and The British Stallion Studs EBF Glasgow Stakes are the evenings highlights, with the latter standing as Hamilton Park’s highest-grade race of the year.
Last year’s winner, Kalpana, secured victory under Jockey PJ McDonald for Trainer Andrew Balding and Owner Juddmonte, and this year’s winner of the highly competitive feature race will be presented with the impressive Glasgow Trophy.
Ashley Moon, Racecourse Managing Director at Hamilton Park, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Skerryvore to Hamilton Park this summer.
“Their contemporary Scottish high-energy set will bring an exciting new element to the G4 Claims Glasgow Stakes Racenight, ensuring racegoers enjoy an unforgettable evening both on and off the track”.
Early bird tickets are on sale now at https://hamilton-park.co.uk/, starting from just £25 per adult, saving £5, when booked in advance.
