If you’re looking for a blooming marvellous day out then the Scottish Garden Festival is taking root in Hamilton.
The event will take place at the town’s racecourse over three days in May.
And organisers are promising “imaginative designs and exceptional creativity” that will delight flower fans.
A spokesperson said: “The Scottish Garden Festival is a premier festival of horticulture, culinary delights and exceptional gardening talent.
“There’s something for everyone to enjoy, no matter whether you’re looking for inspiration, entertainment, or expert knowledge.”
The festival will be at Hamilton Park Racecourse from Friday to Sunday, May 23 to 25.
And the spokesperson added: “Explore a spectacular range of show gardens featuring imaginative designs and exceptional creativity.
“A broad spectrum of exhibitors will be displaying the latest gardening tools, equipment, crafts and techniques. Participate in hands-on demonstrations, listen to expert speakers, and receive useful gardening advice. Taste the very best Scottish foods from a number of unique food vendors and take a moment to sit down and relax in beautiful surroundings to enjoy some live music and entertainment.”
The festival will start at 10am and finish at 6pm on each of the three days.

Tickets are priced at £25 for adults, £20 for senior citizens, £12 for those aged 15 to 18 and children 14 years and under (accompanied by an adult) can enter free of charge.
While the full festival programme will be unveiled over the coming months, the event’s website says: “The Scottish Garden Festival is a great opportunity for garden designers and landscapers to showcase their skills, inspire others and promote their businesses to over 20,000 visitors over the May bank holiday weekend.”
