A 37-year-old man was shot dead in Bedford-Stuyvesant, police said Thursday.
The victim was found at about 9:15 p.m. at the Tompkins Houses, behind a Park Ave. building near Tompkins Ave.
Medics rushed the victim, who was shot in the chest, to Kings County Hospital but he could not be saved.
Police are looking for three men who ran from the scene.
Through Sunday murders in the city were down sharply, 33%, with 28 people slain compared to 42 at the same time last year.
