Catherine Zeta Jones might be a multi million dollar actor with a famous husband and properties in New York, Bermuda, Spain, London and Wales, but she’s proven she’s just like the rest of us and loves a great cleaning product.
The 55 year old, who married Fatal Attraction star Michael Douglas in 2000, loves a clean home and is a huge fan of an £8 cleaner that us mere mortals can get from Amazon.
She revealed she can’t be without Lavender Fabuloso and said, in an interview with Strategist: “When I smell it, I know my house is clean.”

The Legend of Zorro actor said her love of this product, started when her housekeeper would use it.
She said: “Years and years and years ago, I had this housekeeper that was like another mother to me. She used this Fabuloso cleaner. Every time I walked into my house, I’d go, “Ugh, it smells so fresh,” and she’d go, in this singsong kind of voice, “Fabuloso! Fabuloso!” My house doesn’t feel clean unless I can smell Fabuloso.”
And she admitted she loves to get in about her homes with the powerful product herself.
She added: “I’m constantly disinfecting and cleaning everything with my Fabuloso. I use it on the floors. I use it on my counters. I use it on my walls. I use it on my doors. When I smell it, I know my house is clean.”
The multi purpose cleaner, which is currently £8.81 – reduced from £9.25 – on Amazon can be used to clean pretty much your whole house. It’s described as ‘powerful’ and can be used on sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, kitchen and bathroom floors, sealed wood surfaces, appliances, counters, windows, mirrors, walls, doorknobs, and furniture.
It doesn’t need to be rinsed and is 100 percent biodegradable. If you’re not a fan of lavender scents, there are other options including Refreshing Lemon Scent, Passion of Fruits Scent, Citrus & Fruits with Baking Soda Scent and Ocean Paradise Scent.
Catherine, who was born and bred in Wales, may be an A-Lister fan but Lavender Fabuloso has many others, according to the reviews on Amazon. Rating an impressive 4.6 out of 5 stars on the site, one raved: “I love it so much my house smells amazing I recommend will buy again. Thank you Amazon for life.”
Another said: “Great for floors and all purpose cleaning, very happy with the results”. Others were delighted the product was finally available to the UK market. One added: “Excellent Iove it didn’t know they sell this on Amazon thought it was only in US so happy I can now get my monthly supply Excellent.”
However not everyone was as in love with the the smell as Catherine is. One reviewer said: “The scent is horrendous! It’s far too strong for something that smells this bad. It doesn’t smell like lavender at all. It smells similar to Parma violet sweets but headache inducing strong.”
But others disagreed that the smell was off putting. One American reviewer said: “Staple back home where I am from and smells just as amazing as it has always. Price reasonable obviously a bit more in the UK but it all good. Your house will stay fresh and smell like it’s actually been cleaned.”
