Diversions will be available to Monklands motorists during a series of upcoming road closures in the area.
Footway resurfacing works will see Old Monkland Road in Coatbridge, between its junctions with Islay Way and Kintyre Drive, close for five days from February 17.
Motorists are advised to take Woodside Street, Kirkshaws Road, the A725 Whifftlet Street and School Street as alternative routes.
Doune Terrace in Coatbridge, from property 50 to property one on Lomond Road, will shut for 48 hours from February 22.
This will be to “facilitate tree felling operations” and diversions for drivers will be Townhead Road, Lomond Road and Lomond Road service road (west).
Various carriageway and footway repairs will result in a full day closure of Chapelhall’s Lauchope Street on February 23.
The closure will run from its junction with the A73 Main Street and Honeywell Crescent.
Alternative routes on offer will be the A73 Main Street and Bellside Road, the B799 Lancaster Avenue and Woodhall Street.
A near-one-month closure will affect Nelson Avenue, Coatbridge, from 85m south-east of the extended south kerb line of Kirkwood Place east to the extended west kerb line of Culzean Avenue.
The road will be shut from February 24 until March 14 “when displayed by signs” for footway resurfacing.
Culzean Avenue and Kirkwood Place will be diverted routes for motorists and “pedestrian access will be maintained where practical”.
Finally, the A752 Gartcosh Road in Bargeddie will close from 10pm on February 27 until 6am the following morning for “bridge inspection works”.
The closure will be between Manse Road and 90m south of property 192 on Cuilhill Road, with Townhead Road, the A89 Bank Street and Glasgow Road and Blair Road among the diversions.
