McDowell County, WV – A State of Emergency has been announced in McDowell County by the McDowell County Commission due to the flooding the area received Saturday.
The County mentions the need for citizens to stay off the roads, if possible, with many roadways being deemed “completely impassable.”
If you are in McDowell County and are experiencing a need to evacuate, shelters are being set up at this time.
There is still more rain to come, which could ignite more problems in the area, the Commission also mentioned that “every department” in the county is out and doing what they can to help those that need it.
