Police believe street racing may have led to the crash.
CEDAR PARK, Texas — A teenager is dead following a high-speed crash in Cedar Park on Saturday night.
The crash happened in the southbound 6400 block of the 183A Toll Road, south of Crystal Falls Parkway, around 11:45 p.m.
According to the Cedar Park Police Department, two vehicles were speeding and possibly racing while traveling southbound.
As one vehicle was traveling at approximately 100 mph, the second vehicle accelerated to 140 mph in an attempt to pass, the Cedar Park Police Department said. The second vehicle lost control and struck the guardrail.
Jacob Langford, 19, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Cedar Park Police Department Highway Enforcement Unit is investigating the incident.
