One Outlander fan has shared their adorable story of finally meeting Sam Heughan, who plays the leading role of hunky Highland warrior Jamie Fraser.
The Scottish actor re-shared the post from a fan to his Instagram account, which showed Madison standing alongside her husband Trevor as they beamed with Heughan, who was proudly holding a bottle of his Sassenach whisky.
It was a long awaited and special meet and greet for the couple, who had bumped into Heughan three years prior at Glasgow airport just after their honeymoon. They never had a chance to say hello, as they respected his privacy and held back.
This time, Madison wasn’t taking any chances on missing the opportunity for a meet and greet with the Starz actor, as she recounted the dedication her husband Trevor put in to make sure they could finally meet him.
Madison wrote: “In the HIGHEST of spirits at my very first bottle signing event this weekend!! Trevor was a trooper being out in 32 degree weather at 5am just for me to have the slightest chance for a meet and greet and we were blessed with good fortune!
“Definitely a full circle moment as three years ago, we spotted @samheughan in the Glasgow airport after visiting the Culloden Battlefield on our honeymoon. As tempting as it was, respecting his privacy was enough for me to appreciate and cherish that moment.”
She continued: “Fast forward to Saturday, with almost 400 fans ahead of me…Sam was the most genuine person I have ever met in 15 seconds. His authenticity shines through, and he loves his fan base.
“Keep doing the things you love, and bless u for giving us Jamie Fraser! Tapadh leat Sam!”
Fans soon took to the comments thrilled for the fan, who also shared a snap of her signed bottle of whisky and a video clip of Sam beaming as he met with fans.
One person wrote: “I’m so glad you got to meet him!!! We had tickets but I was so hoping lots of people in the standby line would get in!! He was so sweet!”
Another chimed in, “Love that autograph! Congratulations.”
