Bars and Melody first gained fame after impressing the notoriously tough Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell back in 2014.
The youthful duo won over the judges, eventually securing third place in the live final. Fast forward a decade, and the pair have matured, released several albums, embarked on international tours, and competed in other talent contests.
Today, they look vastly different from their BGT days with muscular bodies and tattoos. Leondre, now in his twenties, has grown taller and sports a mature dreadlock hairstyle.
He regularly shows off his muscular physique in gym selfies shared with his 601,000 Instagram followers as reported in the Mirror. Meanwhile, Charlie, also in his twenties, is now a father after welcoming a child in 2022.
He sports an array of tattoos across his neck, arms, and chest. The pair continued to make music and tour together until 2024, when they sadly announced they were splitting as a group.

The pair said they wanted to finish on a high but finally felt it was time to move on. Back in 2014, during their audition, Simon hit the coveted golden buzzer after the charming pair captivated the audience with a rap performance against bullying.
They secured third place in the final, with Collabro emerging as the winner. Bars and Melody’s debut single, Hopeful, reached Number 5 on the charts, followed by their debut album, 143, in 2015, and a consistent release of new music.
The duo went on to become finalists on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions in 2019 and competed on America’s Got Talent: The Champions the following year. They have also toured Europe and Japan.
In 2021, they reflected on their BGT audition, sharing a clip on Instagram of their Golden Buzzer moment to mark its seventh anniversary.
“7 years today. Words can’t explain the feelings towards this video. The moment that changed our life forever! ” they captioned it.
They added: “Thank you for being by our side every step of the way. We have come to the end of the beginning. Our journey’s just started.”
Rapper Leondre and singer Charlie initially connected on Facebook before teaming up for Britain’s Got Talent, bonding over their shared passion for music. Their anti-bullying song, Hopeful, earned them a standing ovation from all four judges in their first audition.
The brand-new season of BGT began on our TVs on Saturday, with presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly returning alongside judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli, and new judging panel member, YouTuber KSI.
