Two sisters who were found dead in the River Dee in Aberdeen earlier this year passed away from drowning, it has been reported.
Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, both aged 32 – who are part of a set of triplets – vanished from Aberdeen on Tuesday, January 7.
Their bodies were discovered during river searches in the River Dee on January 31. Their death certificates both state the single cause of death as drowning, reports the BBC.
A huge search operation was launched after the sisters were reported missing by their landlord in the Granite City. They had sent a text message on the night of their disappearance confirming they would not be returning to their city centre flat.

The two missing sisters had not told relatives that they had planned to leave the property immediately. Police had called off searches of the River Dee after three weeks before the bodies were discovered in the morning and evening of January 31.
Officers investigating their disappearance stated there was nothing to suggest any suspicious circumstances or criminality.
Police identified the bodies of the sisters following the discoveries at the end of last month.
Supt David Howieson, of Police Scotland, said: “The two bodies recovered from the River Dee on Friday, 31 January, have now been formally identified as Henrietta and Eliza Huszti.”
