Motherwell have been dealt another injury blow with news that midfielder Sam Nicholson will be out for “a number of months”.
The Fir Park club haven’t had their problems to seek on the injury front this season, but provided an update on three of their stars.
Nicholson, who returned from a knee injury in December, has picked up a new problem that will require surgery.

A statement from the club said: “It is expected Nicholson will be missing for a number of months.”
He joins defender Shane Blaney, who has sustained a knee injury, been to a consultant, and is now awaiting surgery, so will be out for a period of time.

Striker Filip Stuparevic ruptured his ACL in a 2-0 Championship win over Hamilton Accies, and will be out for “a significant period of time”.
