A West Lothian school was was attacked in a “reckless” act of vandalism which saw windows smashed in an office and school vehicle.
The attack took place on Friday, February 21 at Pinewood School in Blackburn.
West Lothian Council said they were made aware of the incident, which occurred on Friday, but that no one was harmed.
However, the incident saw an office window smashed and the windows destroyed on the primary school’s minibus.
Initial assessments have shown repairs will cost around £2,000 to fix the vehicle.
The council’s Fleet Team has already actioned repairs to ensure the mini bus can be returned to the school as soon as possible.
West Lothian Council shared on social media: “Thankfully no one was hurt in the incident, however an office window was smashed, with more significant damage occurring to the school’s mini bus.”
Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to pass it on to police.
A West Lothian Council spokesperson said: “This is incredibly mindless and reckless behaviour that could have endangered individuals at Pinewood.
“Thankfully no one was hurt in the incident however, the school minibus will be out of action for a number of days and unavailable for the children at Pinewood while repairs are completed.
“We’d urge anyone with any information to please contact Police Scotland by calling 101.”
