List began her career as a child model, featuring in tween magazines. She was on the cover of the 2009 American Girl Back to School Issue and has appeared in over 400 advertisements.
She later transitioned into acting, securing minor roles in major productions such as Spider-Man 2, All My Children, 27 Dresses, Gossip Girl, and Law and Order SVU.
