Coronation Street‘s Daniel Brocklebank, famed for his role as Billy Mayhew, has recently caught up with an old friend from Emmerdale, celebrating a friendship that spans two decades.

Before settling on the Corrie cobbles, Daniel was no stranger to other soaps, having played Ivan Jones in Emmerdale from May 2005 to August 2006, and making appearances in shows like Waterloo Road, Midsomer Murders, The Bill, Doctors, Casualty, and Holby City.

Initially cast for a brief stint involving Jarvis Skelton’s storyline, Daniel’s portrayal of Ivan led to an extended run where his character developed a relationship with Paul Lambert, Nicola King’s brother.

Joining Coronation Street in 2014, Daniel has been a staple on the show since. However, he recently sparked speculation about a possible return to Emmerdale by posting a teasing selfie outside the Leeds studio on Instagram reports the Manchester Evening News.

“Oooooh what’s going on here then?,” the post was captioned. He later shared a behind-the-scenes photo with Nicola Wheeler, who has portrayed Nicola King since 2001, showing the pair enjoying a laugh together.
