A man ‘with a bladed weapon’ has been arrested and charged after a ‘disturbance’ in Glasgow street, sparking a major response from armed cops.
Dozens of officers including armed units swarmed Pinmore Street in Nitshill at around 8pm on Monday, February 24. Multiple police cars were lined up along the street to the shock of nearby residents.
A 38-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. The man was allegedly in possession of a bladed weapon at the time.
Video footage shared on TikTok shows armed officers entering a garden when a man can be seen walking out from a property. Officers are heard screaming at him to “get down on the ground”.

The man can then be heard shouting back and at one point shouts: “f**k the f*****g polis” as he lies on the ground. In another clip shared by the same TikTok user, officers can be seen carrying a man along the street towards a number of parked police vans.
Rows of police vehicles can be seen parked as armed officers walk away from the scene. One of the officers was also seen carrying a shield.

Police also confirmed the man was release on an undertaking and is due to appear in court at a later date.
