A teenager was arrested on drug offences by police following a routine vehicle stop in Cambuslang.
At around 10.30pm on Tuesday, February 19, officers carried out a routine vehicle stop on Dale Avenue and could smell what they believed to be cannabis.
A search of the vehicle and the 19-year-old male driver was carried out and they recovered 12 snap bags of herbal cannabis, eight watches, £1160 in mixed notes, 16 snap bags containing cocaine and nine snap bags containing white powder.
Officers then attended the home address of the male driver and carried out a search under warrant. They recovered, 125 grams of herbal cannabis, 7.2 grams of cannabis resin, and £2745 in mixed notes.
The 19-year-old man was arrested and taken to a police office. A report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Inspector Slowey, from Police Scotland, said: “This shows the dedication of our officers to detect and disrupt those who live off crime and reduce the harm caused drugs in our communities.
