A celebrity-approved cream I recently added to my skincare routine has officially been dropped to less than a tenner on Amazon.
Since I write about all things beauty-related, it should come as no surprise that one product to catch my eye last year was the viral Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré. Of course, I wasn’t the only one who was obsessed with it.
The “timeless” multi-tasking French cream has earned its place in many celebrity beauty routines. A favourite of celebrity make-up artists, it is said to be beloved by the likes of Michelle Keegan, Lady Gaga and Sydney Sweeney, to name a few.

As someone who managed to try it out for the first time last year, I can confirm that this “luxurious” cream lives up to its hype. I found that it was a “versatile little gem” that can do pretty much everything from removing makeup to hydrating my skin.
If you’re wanting to trial it out for yourself, then you’ll be pleased to hear my new favourite beauty product has been dropped from £14.79 to £9.47 on Amazon. It is also available for £11.19 on Lookfantastic and £12.70 at Sephora UK – making Amazon the cheapest deal.

To give you a bit of background on the French Cream, it was first launched in the 1950s, and has fast become a beauty staple for many A-listers and regular beauty buffs alike. Infused with shea butter and aloe vera, the “rich” formula nourishes all skin types, especially those with drier skin such as myself.
While the cream does offer a thicker texture than other creams, my own personal experience was that it “melts into the skin”, leaving it “velvety smooth”. It’s also unscented, which is a win for anyone who might experience irritation or redness with some products.
However, one thing I love about the Embryolisse cream is its ability to offer multiple uses in just one tube. It can be used as a moisturiser, make-up primer, make-up remover, moisturising mask, aftershave cream and a baby-care product – so, it does pretty much everything.

I am not the only convert, as the French cream has been singled out as an ‘Amazon Choice’ product, as it boasts over 23,000 reviews from shoppers who say that it is “absolutely worth the hype” and that it “hydrates the skin so well.”
One delighted customer wrote: “I have been using this for a few years as a daytime moisturiser and pre makeup product. It is SO hydrating and silky smooth. Absolutely worth the hype. GET THIS!”
Someone else praised: “I’m in aesthetics and this is hands down the best moisturizer I have ever used. The hype is real!!! It goes on like silk, leaves your skin soft, smooth, hydrated and almost like you have a filter! Not greasy at all, a great base for makeup. Don’t even need a primer!”
Another makeup artist added: “Yes yes yes, I use this cream on all of my clients. Especially if you have dry skin, this is like a magic potion, hydrates the skin so well and the makeup looks amazing on top of it. Great moisturiser and makeup primer!”
I did find in my review that the cream can be a little on the greasier side, although it didn’t affect my skin as much. However, this has been an issue for some shoppers, as one three-star review read: “Was recommended this but far too heavy and greasy for my skin – even though I’m 55. I would only use on very dry skin.”
Purchase my staple Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré (30ml) for £9.47 on Amazon here.
Meanwhile, Weleda’s Skin Food is said to be a favourite of many celebrities such as Victoria Beckham and Adele. The “rich” and “nourishing” cream is currently just £6.71 at Boots for a 30ml tube.
Another hydrating cream that has earned cult status is the Nivea Creme that is said to be used by the likes of Kate Winslet, Joan Collins and more. Costing just £10.65 for a large 200ml blue tin, this all-purpose cream is another multitasker worth adding to your beauty bag.
