Currently, an overnight stay for two at The Galley of Lorne can be booked for £49 through voucher site Wowcher. The standard price for a one-night stay at the inn is £171.90, marking a discount of 71 per cent.

Described by Wowcher as a “tranquil lochside inn”, The Galley of Lorne offers double or twin rooms that feature amenities such as en-suite bathrooms, flatscreen televisions, and hairdryers. One recent visitor wrote: “This was our third trip to Galley of Lorne and as usual thoroughly enjoyed it. After a long day touring on motorbikes we were checked in straight away and although the bar didn’t open until five, the very helpful lady on reception made sure we were settled well before then with a nice glass of wine.”

A second posted: “The staff were all great, and we thoroughly enjoyed every meal we had. Highly recommend this lovely place full of character, and beautiful scenery.”

On the other hand, a three-star review reads: “Wonderful historic Inn with spectacular Loch views. The limited staff tried hard to keep all the plates spinning and mostly succeeded.

“The dinner served in the bar was pretty much pub grub but executed well and very tasty as were the breakfasts with lots of choice. On the downside the ‘suites’ are tiny and soundproofing non existent (we heard talking and snoring from surrounding rooms).”

Elsewhere, other accommodation options in the area include Ardfern Motorhome Park and Lunga Estate. The former is well-suited to those with a caravan or campervan, while Lunga Estate features self-catering cottages that can be rented out.
