(CNN) – When it comes to egg prices, McDonald’s isn’t cracking under pressure.
The fast-food giant says it isn’t charging more for its breakfast items, and it’ll also be offering a $1 McMuffin deal on March 2 to celebrate its 50th anniversary on the menu.
An ongoing avian flu has resulted in the deaths of more than 140 million egg-laying birds, according to the Department of Agriculture.
This has caused some restaurants, including Waffle House and Denny’s, to boost the price of meals that include eggs.
Some retailers have also placed limits on the number of eggs a consumer can get per visit.
