Police have nabbed the man they say fired the fatal bullet that pierced the neck of a 16-year-old riding his moped in the Bronx last year.

Kenhy Sarrias Buelvas, 37, was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon in the August shooting, which killed teen Kemari Sanders.

The boy clung to life for six weeks before dying of his wounds on Oct. 4, police said.

Sanders was on his moped outside a closed daycare on Bryant Ave. near Jennings St. in Crotona Park East on Aug. 23 when gunfire rang out just before 1 a.m., the Daily News previously reported.

Medics rushed Kemari to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition, but he later died of his injuries. He lived in the Soundview section of the Bronx about a mile from where he was shot, according to cops.

Investigators suspect the shooting was linked to gang activity in the area, although it wasn’t clear if the victim was involved with a gang. A police spokesperson on Wednesday could not provide a motive for the shooting.

Buelvas, who has no prior arrests, lives in Washington Heights, according to cops.

His arraignment in Bronx Criminal Court was pending Wednesday night.
