Netflix has once again increased its monthly subscription fees for new and existing members, but we found a way to get it for free with a £15 Sky deal. Earlier this month, the streamer announced that customers across all three of its subscription tiers will now face higher monthly fees, with some members facing a £24 annual increase to watch series like Squid Game, Bridgerton and Stranger Things.

The price change took effect on February 6 for new members, while existing subscribers will receive an email providing 30-days’ notice. The most significant increase has been applied to the Standard plan, which has risen by £2 per month to £12.99.

This marks a 20% increase from the previous £10.99 rate, while Netflix’s Standard with adverts and Premium plans have increased by £1 to the new price of £5.99 and £18.99 respectively. However, there’s a way to get Netflix for free and save more than £95 by bundling a Netflix subscription with Sky TV.

Last year, Sky introduced a range of new plans like £15 per month Essential TV bundle, which includes a free Netflix subscription. Sky also allows you to keep your existing Netflix account and transfers the payment to your Sky bill on your behalf so you don’t pay twice, reports Wales Online.

This package also provides access to more than 100 TV channels, including Sky Atlantic and Sky Sports News, along with a Discovery+ subscription. It’s worth noting that this deal comes with the Netflix Standard with adverts plan, but you can upgrade to the Standard option for an extra £5.

Sky is giving away a free Netflix subscription with its new TV bundles, including the £15 Essential TV plan.

Sky Stream lets members watch live and on-demand TV content without a satellite dish or aerial and includes hit shows like The Last of Us and Squid Game.

Going down this route costs £60 annually, resulting in a saving of £95.88 compared to the £155.88 it would cost to sign up to Netflix directly. Sky also lets members upgrade to Netflix Premium for an extra £10, which equates to a £107.88 saving over 12 months.

Sky’s current prices for Netflix Standard and Premium are reduced by £1 as part of a limited-time offer, although it hasn’t been confirmed when this promotion will end. To get these prices means signing up for a 24-month contract, but keep in mind the provider states its prices ‘may change’ during the minimum term.

In addition to the Essential TV package, Netflix is also bundled with the £22 Ultimate TV plan, which comes with more than 40 extra channels compared to the entry-level option. The new Sky Glass Gen 2 smart TV also comes with free Netflix access on the brand’s latest QLED device, complete with built-in Sky channels and streaming apps.

Elsewhere, Virgin Media is giving away a free Hisense 4K smart TV or £200 bill credit with select packages until March 3, some of which also come with a free Netflix subscription, such as the Biggest Combo bundle. Although it’s a pricier choice at £78.99 per month, this includes 516Mbps fibre broadband, more than 210 TV channels including Sky Sports and Sky Cinema, and Netflix Standard with adverts at no additional cost.
