Two boys on a Manhattan subway platform were beaten and slashed with a scalpel by a group of muggers who stole the Nike Air Jordan sneakers off both victims’ feet, police said Tuesday.

One victim, 16, was slashed across his head while the other, 15, was slashed on the nose and lip during the clash on the downtown No. 1 train platform at the Dyckman St. station in Inwood about 3 p.m. Feb. 17, cops said.

The victims were confronted by four strangers who punched and kicked them. As the attack escalated, one of the crooks pulled out a scalpel and slashed both victims.

The robbers ran off uptown on Dyckman St. with the older boy’s cell phone and Air Jordans and just one Jordan from the younger victim.

The boys were treated at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Columbia.

The NYPD on Tuesday releasing surveillance photos of two of the suspects and asked the public’s help identifying them and tracking them down.

One is described as about 16 with a slim build and black hair. He was wearing a dark green Canada Goose coat with a hood, gray sweatpants and black sneakers. The second suspect was wearing a black winter coat with tan fur on the hood and blue jeans.

On Monday, the NYPD announced serious subway crime, which includes robberies and felony assaults, dropped 15% in the subway system in February compared to the same month last year.
