He allegedly made two separate trips to steal the computers.

AUSTIN, Texas — Travis County investigators are searching for a man who they say stole nine computers from the Travis County District Attorney’s Office last week.

According to an arrest warrant, around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 31-year-old Austin Wayne Mullins got into the DA’s office in Downtown Austin from a loading dock door that was supposed to be locked.

They say he stole several laptops that were stacked by a door before coming back a couple of hours later to steal more.

The suspect stole nine laptops valued at more than $14,000.

A deputy said they saw Mullins come back again around 8:45 a.m. wearing the same clothes he’d been wearing during the break-ins.

He’d also been booked on burglary charges before, as recently as Feb. 3, so he faces a new felony charge.
