EAGLE PASS, Texas — Vice President J.D. Vance is scheduled to make a visit to the Texas/Mexico border on Wednesday.
He’s planning to visit Eagle Pass and Laughlin Air Force Base near Del Rio.
During his visit, he also plans to tour an immigration processing facility.
He will be the highest ranking government official to visit the border since the beginning of the White House’s crackdown on illegal immigration.
