Texas police on Wednesday identified the two suspects in the fatal shootings of rapper G$ Lil Ronnie and his 5-year-old daughter.
The suspects were identified as 24-year-old Adonis Robinson and 21-year-old Jakobe Russell, both residents of Fort Worth. Robinson is a registered sex offender who assaulted a woman on a Fort Worth walking trail in 2019, according to public records.
Capital murder warrants have been issued for both men, who are still on the run.
“They’re scared. They’re cowards. They’re hiding. We ask the public, please, you know where they’re at? Let us know,” said Forest Hill Police Chief David Hernandez. “I want to reaffirm to the community that we will hold criminals accountable. We’re not going to allow them to come in here and think they can get away with it.”
The 35-year-old rapper, whose real name was Ronnie Sibley, and his 5-year-old daughter, R’mani, were shot on Monday at a Slappy’s Car Wash in Forest Hill, a suburb of Fort Worth, in a brazen broad daylight attack. Both were declared dead at the scene around 11 a.m. Sibley’s car was found riddled with bullet holes.
The suspects, both wearing blue jeans and grey sweaters, sped off in a white four-door Kia before police arrived. A motive for the shooting remains unknown, Hernandez said.
“They are dangerous. They are armed. And we need you to please call 911 and let our police officers respond and take appropriate action,” the chief added.
Lil Ronnie was best known for his 2018 single “Hoodfame Killuminati” with fellow rapper Go Yayo.
