Police said the teen’s social media accounts have been inactive since she ran away from her South Austin home.

AUSTIN, Texas — A search is underway after a teen ran away from her home in South Austin.

Police said 15-year-old Aida Katherine Krejs Lebrun intentionally left her home on Dolphin Drive Tuesday just before 7 p.m.

Since Aida ran away from home, police said she is not being considered a missing person. However, they added that Aida is normally very active on social media and has not posted anything since running away.

Because of the length of time since Aida was last seen, police said there are concerns she may have been trafficked or abducted after running away.

Police said it’s unknown where Aida might be staying, but want to remind the public that harboring a runaway child is a misdemeanor in Texas.

Aida is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing about 110 pounds. She has dark brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black baggy jeans, a black shirt, with a black backpack from The North Face.

Anyone with information on Aida’s whereabouts should call 911 immediately.
