BRADSHAW, W.Va. – McDowell County Prosecuting Attorney Brittany Puckett tells WVVA murder charges have been dropped against a Bradshaw man previously charged on Feb. 18 of this year.

According to a press release from Lieutenant Goldie Jr. of the West Virginia State Police, Senior Trooper R. L. Morgan and Senior Trooper M. R. Miller responded to a death investigation at Oozley Branch Road in Bradshaw last month. Upon arrival Troopers found the deceased, identified as 62 year old Marcella Mullins of Bradshaw, WV. Following the initial investigation, the deceased’s husband, 60 year old Brady Mullins, was placed under arrest for 2nd Degree Murder.

Puckett says the charges were dropped “without prejudice” meaning if new evidence comes to light that Mullins can be charged again. Puckett also says that her office is awaiting for the official autopsy for Marcella and are examining other evidence relating to her death.
