CINCINNATI (WXIX/Gray News) – Vice President JD Vance was reportedly confronted by a group of protestors near his home in the Walnut Hills neighborhood in Ohio.
Vance shared details of the incident in a post on X about protestors following him as he walked with his 3-year-old daughter.
WARNING: The social media post contains explicit language that may be disturbing for some audiences.
“Today while walking my 3 year old daughter a group of “Slava Ukraini” protesters followed us around and shouted as my daughter grew increasingly anxious and scared,” the vice president wrote in the post.
Vance says he approached the protestors in hopes that he could “trade a few minutes of conversation for the leaving [his] toddler alone.”
The vice president says “nearly all” of the protestors agreed and that “it was a mostly respectful conversation.”
However, Vance also added, “if you’re chasing a 3-year-old as part of a political protest, you’re a s–t person.”
WXIX reports many streets in the Walnut Hills area were closed down, and checkpoints were added to others for the vice president’s arrival. The purpose of Vance’s visit to Cincinnati is not immediately clear.
