MORGANTOWN, W.Va (WDTV) – During the regular season Men’s Basketball finale against Central Florida Saturday WVU named the 71st mascot in school history.
Cade Kincaid of Fayetteville, WV will take over on the sidelines of various WVU sporting events. This according to a release from WVU Today to 5 News. Kincaid is a junior accounting major and member of the Honors College.
Braden Adkins, the the 2024-25 mascot, will hand Kincaid the reins during the special ‘passing of the rifle’ ceremony April 4th.
The alternate mascot will be announced by WVU at a later date.
