MONROE COUNTY, W.Va. – A few weeks ago, Peterstown Worship Center held their last service inside their former church building. The congregation moved out following their separation from the United Methodist Conference, but are hopeful of eventually buying the building back.
WVVA has since reached out to the UMC for comment, and have recently received this statement from Bryan Beaty, Director of Communications:
There are more than nine churches in Monroe County that are or were affiliated with the West Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church, according to the official website.
WVVA will continue to provide coverage on this topic as information becomes available.
