PRINCETON, W.Va. -Back in Mercer County the City of Princeton is offering a new service to the public
looking to properly and respectfully dispose of their old American flags.
if you have an American flag that’s distressed, tattered, torn or just ready to be retired
The City of Princeton now has a box at city hall for you to drop it off at.
That’s at the city’s municipal offices at 800 Bee Street.
Once you drop your flag off there, they will be taken and disposed of properly according to the existing flag code.
“It’s mainly a new service that the city wanted to offer to show respect to our country and respect to our flag and folks that come down and deposit the worn or tattered flag in the box it’s a way they can ensure the flag is disposed of properly”
Once again, if you have a flag or flags you want to be disposed of you can drop it off in the box at Princeton’s Municipal Offices at 800 Bee Street.
They are open from 8am until 4:30 pm Monday through Friday
