HOUSTON — The Texans are reportedly making a deal to bring a former Aggie to Houston.

NFL.com is reporting the Jaguars are sending receiver Christian Kirk to the Texans in exchange for a 2026 seventh-round draft pick.

Kirk is a seven-year veteran of the NFL. He was a second-round draft pick of the Arizona Cardinals out of Texas A&M.

The move gives quarterback CJ Stroud another needed target while Tank Dell continues to recover from a significant knee injury and Stefon Diggs tests the free agent waters.

Kirk signed a four-year, $72 million contract with the Jags in 2022. According to NFL.com, that includes a $16.5M salary for the 2025 season, which Houston will pay.

Kirk played his first four seasons with the Cardinals and the last three in Jacksonville. IN 2022, Kirk led the team with 84 catches for 1,108 yards and eight touchdowns, but was limited the last couple seasons.
