Both flyovers at I-35 and U.S. 290 are closed as part of the police investigation.
AUSTIN, Texas — A deadly crash on U.S. 290 near Interstate 35 is under investigation in East Austin.
The crash was reported just before 7 p.m. Wednesday near Berkman Drive. Both the eastbound and westbound lanes of 290 have been shut down due to the crash. Police have also shut down both flyovers between U.S. 290 and I-35 as part of their investigation.
Police are asking drivers to avoid the area and expect delays or find alternative routes if possible.
