If you’re wondering what skincare brand Kate Middleton seems to favour, then it has long been reported to be that of Lancôme.

The Princess of Wales is said to use many of the luxury firm’s products such as the bestselling Genifique Ultimate Serum. Loved for its ability to “diminish” wrinkles, it can come with a hefty price-tag, starting from £70 for a 30ml bottle.

Fortunately, we have spotted it on sale for 15 percent less at Debenhams, with the price dropped to £59.90. Meanwhile, a 50ml has been cut from £95 to £80.75, while the larger 115ml is now £140.25, down from £165.

The Genefique Serum is one of Lancôme’s most beloved products for its ability to target fine lines and wrinkles. Developed after 27 years of research, it is powered by Beta Glucan-CM, an ingredient that works to “repair” the skin barrier.

Also boasting hyaluronic acid, Licorice Extract, alongside pre and probiotics, this serum uses a high precision dropper to target the appearance of redness, fine lines, while keeping skin smooth. Offering a “lightweight” formula, it is said to be suitable for all skin types.

It doesn’t just have the royal seal of approval, as 93 percent of beauty fans who have used the Genefique Serum say their skin feels “smoother”. Meanwhile, a further 82 percent said their skin looked more “luminous”, while 86 percent said their skin was “hydrated.”

Averaging an impressive 4.7 rating based on hundreds of reviews on the Debenhams website alone, Kate’s go-to Lancôme Serum has earned glowing praise among beauty buffs who say it makes them look “younger everyday” and is a “must have” for anti-ageing.

One five-star review read: “I’ve never experienced such incredible results with any other product. This serum has completely rejuvenated my skin, leaving it glowing, smooth, and youthful. The lightweight formula absorbs instantly, making it a pleasure to use day and night.

They added: “My fine lines and wrinkles have visibly diminished, and my complexion looks more radiant and even-toned. It’s like having a professional spa treatment in a bottle! I can’t recommend Génifique Ultimate Serum enough – it’s truly a must-have for anyone seeking flawless, age-defying skin.”

Someone else said: “Such a great product my favourite so far. Very easy to use, absorbs into the skin so easily, leave my face soft and not greasy and I can see that it looks younger everyday. Easy to apply under makeup.”

While another review read: “I have been using this serum for many years. My skin looks young and healthy. My favourited skin care product!”

However, by comparison, one shopper not as impressed wrote: “I do like this serum, it absorbs easy and feels lovely on the skin. It does leave my skin feeling smooth and hydrated, however it claims to reduce redness and smooth texture, I haven’t seen these results, I have tried this a few times and never really been wowed. I also think it’s too much price wise for a serum.”

If the price-tag is still a little out of budget, then No7’s Future Renew Serum (25ml) also uses a scientist-backed formula that works to repair the skin barrier, while visibly reversing the signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles.

There’s also Byoma’s £16.30 Barrier+ Repair Treatment (50ml) that works to “intensely restore” hydration, all while calming any redness. The leave-on treatment also visibly reduces the signs of fine lines and wrinkles.
