Imagine you’re in the middle of watching your latest binge watch and just before the cliff hanger drops, your screen starts to buffer. Many people have been widely impressed with how much their Wi-Fi connection has improved since installing the eero 6 Mesh Router. Over 1,600 shoppers have awarded it five stars, with one such customer writing: “The eero 6 Wi-Fi Extender was simple to set up and has provided stable broadband throughout my house.

“The coverage is excellent, and I’ve experienced no drops in connection since installing it. Overall, it’s a great solution for boosting your Wi-Fi coverage, as long as you’re okay with everything being wireless.”

Another shopper detailed their experience: “After using for around six months, I really don’t know how I did without it. Wi-Fi reaches all points of the house with a stable and reliable connection.

“I have only rebooted the Eero system once during this time but that wasn’t an Eero issue, it was the Virgin connection. The connection throughout the house is fantastic. Streaming movies and gaming on the second floor is a breeze.”

While a third person added: “I have an office-garage about 25m away from my main Virgin hub and a gaming setup in the office. The Wi-Fi signal was awful and the lag was high. Bought an Eero hub and extender, plugged the hub into the Virgin hub, put the extender between the Hub and the office, and the signal is better than ever!

“Smooth gaming, smooth streaming, smooth Discord voice chat and video playback. HIGHLY recommend to improve gaming!”

Despite these great experiences, not everyone shared the same opinion, as one dissatisfied shopper wrote: “I really wanted this mesh to work. I currently have a Tenda system which is fairly good but not great. So my hope was this eero system will be a great improvement.

“Having tested it for a couple of days, I’m extremely disappointed to see that the WiFi speeds are significantly lower than in my current system. So with the new eero, having placed the nodes in exactly the same locations, I get around 20-30 Mbs download speeds.

“With the old system, same locations, same testing device, I get in excess of 120 MBs… To me, that’s just crazy!! I tried various settings but nothing seems to improve it. Range wise, I think both systems are pretty similar.”
