An early review of the 2,200 recently released files regarding the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy don’t appear to support any of the conspiracy theories that have long circulated about his death.

The Associated Press reviewed more than 63,000 pages of unredacted information that was ordered to be made public Tuesday by the Trump administration.

On Wednesday, the news organization said the documents offer interesting insight into covert U.S. operations during the Cold War, but don’t seem to refute the Warren Commission’s report that gunman Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone when he killed Kennedy with a rifle fired from a Dallas book depository window.

There’s long been speculation that Kennedy’s murder may have been committed by multiple shooters with possible ties to the Mafia or perhaps working for foreign governments. Countless scenarios have been explored through TV programs and radio shows, as well as Oliver Stone’s 1991 Oscar-winning film, “JFK.”

Many Trump supporters believed some sort of mystery would be revealed when the president campaigned on a vow to make public all government files on JFK’s assassination if he won the election.

But the AP’s initial review found a large portion of the 6 million pages of records, photographs, audio recordings and other information made available by the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration had already been accessible to the public, but previously included some redactions.

Following Trump’s announcement on Monday that the file dump was coming, Kennedy’s grandson Jack Schlossberg expressed skepticism that anything new would be learned about JFK’s death. He then posted a long list on social media comparing his grandfather’s accomplishments to those of Trump.

“President Trump is obsessed with my grandfather — but not in his life or what he achieved in it,” Schlossberg wrote.

“No, just like @robertfkennedyjr, @realdonaldtrump is only interested in JFK’s carcass,” he said, referring to his conspiracy-pushing cousin Bobby Kennedy, who Trump appointed to run the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
