You can also add a dinner at the hotel’s on-site restaurant for a total price of £99. Among the dishes on offer are traditional steak pie, salt and vinegar battered fish and chips, and roasted vegetable tart.

Also included in the Wowcher deal is a free breakfast in the morning. Guests can also enjoy a late 1pm checkout on their final day.
Meanwhile, Alloa offers the opportunity to head to spectacular beauty spots and interesting visitor attractions. Some of the standout destinations in the area include The National Wallace Monument, Valleyfield Woodland Park, and Stirling Castle.
In terms of visitor feedback, Dunmar House has received mostly positive reviews. It has an overall score of four out of five on Tripadvisor based on 206 ratings.
One guest shared: “Staff and good food. The grounds are also lovely and well maintained.
“I had the vegetarian breakfast which was much more enjoyable than other hotels have stayed! I would recommend to other travellers going to Alloa.”
A second Tripadvisor user posted: “A warm and helpful welcome and a cheerful farewell. And everything in between was spot on.

“Helpful and friendly staff, good food, and a comfortable room which was perfectly prepared and well equipped. Not a lot more we could ask for, and will certainly return. Many thanks.”
Another commented: “The Dunmar has been recommended to me lots of times and was glad for an excuse to stay finally. It was excellent.
“The staff were friendly. My personal highlight was the breakfast. The room was massive and the bed was comfortable.”
On the other hand, a less positive review reads: “Hotel overall is tired and urgently needs updating. The shower was cold, had no flow and at one point stopped altogether.
“Tried to use it at different times but to no avail. Roof light in bathroom needs a blind for night time as it lets light into the room.”
For those who are keen for a staycation in Alloa, but are not interested in Dunmar House, there are plenty of other options around town. These include the nearby four-star Inglewood House and Spa and the five-star Garvally House Guest House.
