BLUEFIELD, W. Va. -Monday is the start of Severe Weather Awareness Week in West Virginia which means you can expect to see preparations for weather-related emergencies, specifically tornados.
On Tuesday, March 24th, many schools and businesses across the state will be participating in tornado drills. These drills are scheduled for 11:00 am.
The National Weather Service says an alert may be sounded on local TV stations, radio stations and potentially outdoor warning sirens as well.
