MORGANTOWN, W.Va (WDTV) – The West Virginia University Mountaineers are reportedly hiring North Texas head coach Ross Hodge to be the next head coach for the WVU men’s basketball team.
Since taking over the North Texas job ahead of the 2023-24 season, Hodge led the Mean Green to an overall record of 46-23.
Hodge also has ties to current WVU Athletic Director Wren Baker, as Baker was the Athletic Director at North Texas back when Hodge was an associate head coach under Grant McCashland.
At this time, no confirmation has been given on contract information, but we expect to have those details shortly.
