MERCER COUNTY, W.Va. – East River Volunteer Fire Department shared details on social media relating to a crash that occurred this morning on Rt. 460.
Just after 9:17 am the fire department was alerted by Mercer County 911 of a 2 car motor vehicle accident on 460 near Old Oakvale Rd.
Rescue 5 responded and arrived on scene to find an accident had occured involving a box truck and a passenger vehicle. Firefighters encountered that one of the occupants of the vehicle was entrapped.
ERVFD units enacted extrication to remove the door on the vehicle to free and within a few minutes they were able to safely remove the person.
The patient was then transferred over to EMS.
