Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office K9 team takes home awards in Iron Dog competition(TCSO)

BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – Corporal Cody Rowe and K9 Reni returned to the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office an award winning duo on Saturday.

The two competed in the 2025 Iron Dog Competition hosted by the Virginia Police K9 Association and made top placements in two categories.

Rowe and Reni secured first place in Criminal Area Search and second place in the Hard Dog/Fast Dog competition.

“Your dedication, skill, and teamwork are top tier,” the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office said to the team in a social media post.

The competition featured 41 law enforcement K9 teams from across Virginia and the D.C. area.
