The recall, issued Saturday, impacts all batches of Gerber “Soothe ‘N’ Chew Teething Sticks” in strawberry apple and banana flavors.

SAN FRANCISCO — Gerber Products Company recalled multiple children teething chews Saturday after reports of “choking incidents.” 

The recall impacts all batches of Gerber “Soothe ‘N’ Chew Teething Sticks” in strawberry apple and banana flavors. These sticks are sold in six and three packs. All have been recalled. The product is advertised for children 6 months old and older. 

The company says one child was taken to the emergency room due to choking. No other injuries have been reported in connection to the teething chews. 

Gerber says the teething sticks should not be fed and can be returned to the retailer where they were purchased for a refund.
